About Us
Falcon Engineering Ltd was established in 1989, based in Inglewood, Taranaki.
Falcon initially provided general engineering services to local industry and since 1993 has focused on and established a solid base providing engineering design, manufacturing and installation of plant and equipment for the sawmilling and timber remanufacturing industry.
The range of equipment includes the A-grader, acoustic grader, mechanical stress graders, coating and finishing lines, vacuum coaters and conveyor handling systems.
In collaboration with its technology partner Scion, formerly known as NZ Forest Research, Falcon has continued to invest in and embrace technological developments in timber grading and sorting.

In 2001 Falcon Engineering Limited won the IPENZ (Institute of Professional Engineers New Zealand) award for Manufacturing Engineering Excellence with its timber stiffness grader called the E-grader.
In 2006 Falcon was a finalist in the IPENZ for manufacturing engineering excellence award for A-grader - acoustic timber stiffness grader.
Falcon has completed projects internationally in Australia, USA, South Africa and Chile.
